Amazon Mobile - Cell Phone TechnologyThis iPhone application allows users to buy products from Amazon and a host of other merchants. Amazon.com, Inc. is America's largest online retailer, with everything from books and electronics to tennis rackets and diamond jewelry. It is a great application for making purchases on the go.
This application provides consumers with a less expensive way to purchase books, personal items and other materials needed for school, work and everyday use. As a registered member, you can view your shopping cart and items you flagged online. From that view or from a search results page, you can quickly purchase new items using Amazon Prime, 1-Click, or any credit cards associated with your account. Some reviews suggest there should be a browse categories option in addition to the search option. Many users would still use the search option but browse categories would offer another convenient option.
Amazon Remembers is a new feature that allows you to use the camera on your iPhone (or stored photos on your iPod touch) to create a visual list of the things you want to remember while out-and-about. The photos you take from the app are stored on both the Amazon Mobile app and Amazon’s website. Amazon Remembers will try to find a product similar to your photo for sale on the web. If one is located, they will send you an e-mail alert and post the result along with the photo.
